General Questions
What kind of items can I add to my gift registry?
You can add just about any item to your registry as long as it’s not prohibited. Frequent additions range from streaming equipment to snacks to gift cards and clothing. If you don’t have a specific gift in mind, you can browse our suggestions page for some ideas.
Does Stream Needs prohibit adding certain items to a gift registry?
Yes. Stream Needs prohibits adding or publishing any item(s) that contain or display illegal or prescription drugs, pharmaceuticals; cryptocurrency services or exchanges; tobacco products, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, e-liquids; firearms and/or assault weapons; melee weapons; audio or visual mediums containing extreme graphic violence or sexual content; any paraphernalia that promotes abuse, discrimination, hate, illegal activity, or violence; hazardous materials including but not limited to explosives, flammable liquids, gasses, toxic substances. This list of prohibited items is not complete and can change at any time with or without notice.
Any person that is discovered or reported displaying prohibited items may have their account registry removed and account terminated.
How do I report prohibited items seen on a gift registry?
If you see a gift registry that displays prohibited items please contact the support team as soon as possible.
Can I manage multiple gift registries on a single Stream Needs account?
Stream Needs currently supports one gift registry per account.

How secure is Stream Needs?
Stream Needs encrypts sensitive customer data as well as offer multi-factor authentication for users who want to add an extra layer of security to their accounts.
Can I use Stream Needs anonymously?
Yes. You can manage your registry and receive gifts without revealing your personal information (legal name, physical mailing address) to the public.
Supporters can send gifts to creators without revealing personal information to the public.
How do I change the password to my account?
1. If you made an account using our registration form, you can click here to change your password.
2. If you made a Stream Needs account using a Discord, Google, or Twitch account, you will need to log out then click the ‘Lost your password?‘ link below the login box and follow the instructions to reset your password.
How do I change my account’s e-mail address?
Go to your ‘Account Dashboard’ then scroll down and click the ‘Edit’ button below the Payment Information section. You can then change your e-mail address and click ‘Save’ to confirm the change.
How do I connect my Stripe account to my Stream Needs account?
1. Sign-up or log-in to your Stripe account.
2. Click the ‘Dashboard‘ link in the navigation menu then scroll down to the Payment Info section and click the ‘Connect with Stripe‘ button. Follow Stripe’s instructions on how to connect your account near the bottom of the page. You’ll be taken back to the Stream Needs dashboard page once your Stripe account is connected.
How do I add Two-Factor Authentication to my account?
Go to the 2FA Settings page and press the ‘Configure 2FA’ button. Make sure the displayed e-mail address is correct then click the ‘I’m Ready’ button. Check your inbox for an e-mail containing your verification code. Return to Stream Needs and enter the code into the prompt then click ‘Validate & Save’. Once complete, your account will require an additional verification code sent via e-mail to log in.

Registry Management
How do I add an item to my registry?
There are two ways to add an item to your registry. You can browse our Suggestions page and copy any item you want to your wish list. If you don’t see a suggestion you like, you can add a specific item using our entry form.
How do I edit an item on my registry?
Go to the My Needs page then click the ‘Edit‘ button to the right of an item to modify its details. Press the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the form to save any changes.
How do I delete an item from my registry?
You can remove entries on your registry by clicking the ‘Delete’ button on the right of each item on the My Needs page.
Can I restore a deleted item on my registry?
Yes. You can restore a deleted item by clicking the ‘Undo’ link that appears after the confirmation message. You can only restore your last deleted item so please consider this before deleting numerous entries within a ten minute period. If you close the ‘My Needs’ page before the end of the recovery period, your deletion will be permanent.
Can I modify the quantity of an item on my registry?
Stream Needs does not support quantity adjustments for items at this time. Any updates regarding new or expanded features will be posted to the News forum as information becomes available.
How do I search for gift suggestions?
Creators can search for gift suggestions by entering one or more keywords into the search bar on the top right of the Suggestions page.
I don’t see an item I suggested on the Suggestions page.
Suggested items must be approved before being displayed on the Suggestions page. If you don’t see your suggestion then it is either queued for review or wasn’t approved.
Supporters don’t see a payment option for my item(s) at checkout. Why?
Please confirm that you have connected your Stripe account to your Stream Needs account. Supporters won’t be able to complete an order if you have not connected your Stripe account. Click here to learn how.
How long does it take to receive a gifted item?
Funds for gifted items can be available within minutes after an order is placed. Once you have been notified about your gift you should see the associated funds in your Stripe account.

Can Stream Needs send funds on my behalf if a creator hasn’t connected a Stripe account?
No. Stream Needs is not a money transfer company and cannot accommodate this type of request.
I didn’t see a confirmation e-mail after placing an order. What do I do?
Please check the spam folder of your e-mail account and mark our message as ‘Not Spam’. As an extra measure, you can add any of our outgoing e-mail addresses to your whitelist to better ensure our messages get delivered to your inbox.
Does Stream Needs facilitate returns for gifted items?
No. If you want to relinquish a gifted item, please consider giving it to another creator.
Can I cancel an order for a gifted item?
Due to the speed of electronic gifting, Stream Needs cannot guarantee success cancelling or reversing an order for a gifted item.
How do I close my account?
Please contact our support team for assistance with closing your account.
What happens to my information after my account is closed?
Any personal information provided to Stream Needs (e-mail address, social usernames, etc) is deleted after an account is closed.
Can I re-open a closed account?
Once an account has been closed you will need to create a new one. You may be able to reclaim a previous username if it hasn’t been taken.
