General Questions

What kind of items can I add to my wish list?

Stream Needs was designed to have simple, tangible products added to a wish list. Items such as event or travel tickets, reservation services, coupons, gift certificates, etc, are not officially supported.

Can I manage multiple wish lists on a single Stream Needs account?

Stream Needs currently supports one wish list per account.

Does Stream Needs prohibit the addition of any items to a wish list?

Stream Needs prohibits publishing any item(s) that contain or display illegal or prescription drugs, pharmaceuticals; cryptocurrency services or exchanges; tobacco products, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, e-liquids; firearms and/or assault weapons; melee weapons; audio or visual mediums containing extreme graphic violence or sexual content; any paraphernalia that promotes abuse, discrimination, hate, illegal activity, or violence; hazardous materials including but not limited to explosives, flammable liquids, gasses, toxic substances.

Any person that is discovered or reported to have a wish list that displays prohibited items or content deemed offensive may have their account terminated.

How do I report prohibited items seen on a wish list?

If you see a wish list with prohibited items please contact the support team as soon as possible.

How do I share gift unboxings or product reviews with the Stream Needs community?

Creators can share gift unboxings or product reviews by creating a new post and pasting a link to their YouTube video before publishing it. Creators can also publish a written review within the forums if they prefer.

Can Stream Needs send funds on my behalf if a creator hasn’t connected a Stripe account?

No. Stream Needs is not a money transfer company and cannot accommodate this type of request.

Does Stream Needs facilitate returns for gifted items?

No. If you want to relinquish a gifted item, please consider giving it to another creator.

Can I cancel an order for a gifted item?

Due to the speed of electronic gifting, Stream Needs cannot guarantee success cancelling or reversing an order for a gifted item.

How do I close my account?

Please contact our support team for assistance with closing your account.

What happens to my information after my account is closed?

Any personal information provided to Stream Needs (e-mail address, social usernames, etc) is deleted after an account is closed.

Can I re-open a closed account?

Once an account has been closed you will need to create a new one. You may be able to reclaim a previous username if it hasn’t been taken.

I didn’t receive an e-mail after creating an account or placing an order.

Please check the spam folder of your e-mail account and mark our message as ‘Not Spam’. As an extra measure, you can add any of our outgoing e-mail addresses to your whitelist to better ensure our messages get delivered to your inbox.

How do I change the password to my account?

1. If you made a Stream Needs account using the sign-up page, you can log in and click here to change your password. You’ll need to verify your current password then enter a new password and save your changes.

2. If you made an account using Facebook, Google, or Twitch, you will need to log out of your Stream Needs account then click the ‘Lost your password?‘ link below the login box and follow the instructions to receive a password reset e-mail.

How secure is Stream Needs?

Stream Needs uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt customer data that is transmitted through the Internet.

Can I use Stream Needs anonymously?

Creators can manage a wish list and receive gifted items without revealing personal information (legal name, physical mail address) to the public.

Supporters can send gifted items to creators without revealing personal information to the public.

Where can I learn about Stream Needs user privacy?

Information about user privacy (such as “cookies”) can be found on Stream Needs’s Privacy page.

Wish List Management

How do I add an item to my wish list?

Wish list items can be added up to three different ways. Creators can browse our Suggestions page and copy an item to their wish list. If you want an item that’s not seen on our Suggestions page, you can manually add it using our entry form. Thirdly, creators can add an item by copying and pasting a URL for it into our dynamic publishing form. Please be aware that it is still in development and may not work for all online stores.

How do I edit an item on my wish list?

Go to Current Needs then click the ‘Edit‘ button to the right of an item to modify its details. Be sure to press the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the form to save any changes.

How do I delete an item from my wish list?

Wish list items can be deleted by clicking the ‘Delete’ link next to the ‘Edit’ button on the Current Needs page. Once an item has been deleted, you have ten minutes to ‘Undo’ your request as long as the Campaign page is open at the time of deletion. If you close the Campaign page before the end of the ten minute recovery period, your deletion will be permanent. Only your last deleted item is recoverable. If you delete more than one item within a span of ten minutes, you will only be able to restore the last deleted item to your wish list.

Can I restore a deleted item to my wish list?

Yes. You have ten minutes to ‘Undo’ your most recent deletion request on the My Campaigns page. If you close the Campaigns page before the end of the ten minute recovery period, your deletion will be permanent. If you delete more than one item within a span of ten minutes, only your most recent deleted item can be restored to your wish list.

Can I modify the quantity of an item on my wish list?

Stream Needs does not support quantity adjustments for items at this time. Any updates regarding new or improved wish list features will be posted to the News forum as information becomes available.

How do I search for gift suggestions?

Creators can search for gift suggestions by entering one or more keywords into the search bar on the top right of the Suggestions page.

I don’t see an item I suggested on the Suggestions page.

Suggested items must be approved before being displayed on the Suggestions page. If you don’t see your suggestion then it is either queued for review or wasn’t approved.

How do I connect my Stripe account to my Stream Needs account?

1. Sign-up or log-in to your Stripe account.

2. Click the ‘Dashboard‘ link in the navigation menu then scroll down to the Payment Info section and click the ‘Connect with Stripe‘ button. Follow Stripe’s instructions on how to connect your account near the bottom of the page. You’ll be taken back to the Stream Needs dashboard page once your Stripe account is connected.

Supporters don’t see a payment option for my item(s) at checkout. Why?

Please confirm that you have connected your Stripe account to your Stream Needs account. Supporters won’t be able to complete an order if you have not connected your Stripe account. Click here to learn how.

How long does it take to receive a gifted item?

Funds for gifted items can be available within minutes after an order is placed. Once you have been notified about your gift you should see the associated funds in your Stripe account.
